Welcome to ParaTechnica. This is the first installment of what hopefully will provide a forum and tool for the .NET development community. The intention is to explore and report on the many tools, utilities, patterns and practices that are driving the .NET development community. My personal interests and contributions will be in the area of 3rd party tools and add-ons (Infragistics, Telerik, Codesmith, Developer Express, Component One), ORM Tools (Subsonic, LINQ, Net-Tiers, Enterprise Foundation), and patterns and practices (MVC). Care to contribute? Make your contributions. All submissions, if factual and complete, will be considered for publication. Would you like to recommend a topic for review? Drop us a note and we'll add it to the list of considerations.
Alas, this site is NOT about rants and raves, better than and less than, rights or wrongs. Conduct yourself like a professional, and you'll be treated like a professional. Any attacks to individuals or companies will be routed to the bit bucket. This site is for the developer community and about making the best use of what we have at our disposal. Opinions are cheap, everyone has them and they're always giving them away. This site is about fact and practice. "How to" is the key to achievement. If you have something to contribute, you're welcome and admired here. So enough with the posturing. Let's get started. Thanks for visiting. I hope you find what you're looking for and I hope you'll come back and contribute.
